How It Works

Epoxy resin is sold in two parts (resin + hardener) that must be mixed at the exact ratio specified. Most table-top epoxies are 1:1 by volume. Deep-pour epoxy can be poured up to 2 inches thick per layer, while regular epoxy should be poured no deeper than 1/4 inch. Epoxy generates heat as it cures (exothermic reaction) — thicker pours generate more heat and can crack or yellow.
